Welcome to day twenty-five of the Blogging from A to Z April Challenge.Today's letter is "Y" and my topic is = YESTERDAY.

Once again I've chosen something very random. Let me explain..The reason my topic is "Yesterday" is to explain my being late on posting this and the previous letter. Yesterday I spent the entire day trying to recuperate from a seizure that I had the night before while attending a concert.

I had been planning on going to this show for months. I actually bought tickets in January when they went on sale. Lucero is one of my favorite bands. [If you've never listened to them, do so, you won't regret it.] My friend Chad that I went to high school with turned me on to their music about four or five years ago and I've been in love ever since.

I took my friend Kate to the show. She'd never been to see Lucero nor had she ever been to the venue which is one of the best venues to see a show in downtown Atlanta because it's nice and cozy--very intimate. The venue has 3 levels; Heaven, Purgatory and Hell. Lucero was playing in Heaven on Saturday night. J Roddy Walston and The Business opened for them, I'd never heard J Roddy play before--they were seriously amazing! And good god the lead vocalist/piano player is smokin' hot. No lie.

The night was stellar. Kate and I were in the very front and center. Absolutely nobody in front of us. The perfect place to be. The venue was packed and both bands were rockin' the place. Everyone was having an epic time. Ben Nichols, the lead vocalist for Lucero announced that they as a band just turned 14 years old. How amazing is that? And also the performance that night was the last of two months of being on tour. I am super happy that I was able to attend. Every one of the guys in the band had that allurement that made them shine while performing. It was like magic. The video below is from the same venue that Kate and I were at only filmed at a show 2 years ago. They did play this song "Nights Like These" at the show we attended as well. I just wanted you understand the vibe that these guys put out when they play.

Phenomenal, right? I mean there are just no words for the kind of feelings I get just watching it--and I was there, I experienced it. Although, as you can see in the video the lights were pretty harsh, especially because we were in the very front row. Near the end of the show I had to be lifted up and taken out by the security because I started to have a seizure. That sucked. Bad. The security guard sat with me until Kate made it out of the main room. [I told him not to call anyone. It wasn't that bad] They got me bottles of water and offered to do whatever I needed. I must say they took very good care of me and I am thankful for that. I also have to say that Kate did the same and I'm sure I scared the crap out of her.
After getting home and resting I just felt kind of out of it. I'm feeling much better today and I still have all of my memory from Saturday night. I am very thankful for that.

Holy crapcakes! How scary is that? I'm so glad that you're okay, though, and that you had an awesome time. You are such a trooper. Many other people would freak out over something like that. I know I would. O.O

Thanks! It was quite scary but I'm super happy that I was able to enjoy almost the entire show before it happened. I also think that I've learned to keep myself in control and not totally freak out. [Which is a good thing.]

Thank you for your very thoughtful comment. :)
